Xcell Therapeutics receives 'new product certification' for serum-free chemically defined media 

Expected to increase sales to public sector organizations... Expand overseas export sales based on reputation for quality 

Xcell Therapeutics, a leading domestic media company, announced today that its flagship product, Serum-free Chemically Defined Media, has been certified as a New Excellent Product (NEP) for the first time in Korea for media products.

NEP certification is a government quality certification system for innovative products that have been commercialized for less than three years that are the first new technology products developed in Korea. According to the current Enforcement Decree of the Industrial Technology Innovation Promotion Act, 'If there is an identical product with NEP certification among the items scheduled to be purchased by public institutions, it is mandatory to purchase NEP-certified products for more than 20% of the total purchase amount'.

Xcell Therapeutics expects that obtaining the NEP certification will help it to increase sales to public investment organizations, including national government agencies that use the badge, as well as to develop export markets.
