Xcell Therapeutics collaborates with STEMMORE on hair follicle cell culture media technology 

Xcell Therapeutics, a Korean biotechnology company, announced today that it has entered into a strategic alliance to jointly develop STEMMORE hair follicle cell culture media-related technologies.

Xcell Therapeutics is a company that creates various customized cell cultures, including media manufacturing technology for culturing cells. STEMMORE is a subsidiary of Yonsei University Technology Holding, which was established to commercialize hair loss treatments using adipose stem cells and hair follicle cells.

Under the partnership, the two companies have agreed to share their research know-how. Through this collaboration, STEMMORE will develop new materials for hair loss-related cosmetics, and Xcell Therapeutics will develop a market for specialized culture media for hair follicle cells.

"By combining our customized serum-free cell culture medium manufacturing technology with STEMMORE's hair loss functional research technology, we will secure differentiated research and development results," said Lee Yi-il, CEO of Xcell Therapeutics.
